I want to get the best reflection of your event, so I'll set up my easel, light, and paints, conveniently to your floor-plan, a couple of hours before your event starts.
Because my process starts early with the background elements, I am able to focus on you and your guests once you arrive and capture the desired moments and people "in action" during the event. And this is while your guests enjoy watching the whole process!

(See video clip of painting process here) First- we talk for a little while to be sure I am getting the best idea of what you envision for your painting. Then, I paint for 5 hours at the event. Because of that amount of painting time, I finish some paintings then and there. But when there are more elements to capture, with larger sizes for instance, I like to take a little more time with the painting details, and then I'll complete the painting during the following 3 weeks.
I will then send you digital proofs by email. When you are happy with it, I consider the painting finished. After I get your approval, I sign and frame your painting in a professional wood frame, because I want you to be able to hang it right away. You and I talk to find the best way for me to get your painting to you, whether it's by shipping it or driving it to you in person. Seeing or hearing about your reaction to it in real time is precious!
These one of a kind oil paintings are priced according to size. Every painting is delivered in an attractive, gold-toned frame, because finished artwork deserves the best first impression. I choose frames that add 4 to 5 inches per side to the canvas sizes. The size of the painting determines the cost.
A guideline for cost by size oil paintings is $10.00 per square inch for the canvas. This represents a highest quality, stretched linen canvas which is then framed before delivery. There are additional, smaller fees for the live appearance and any extensive travel, but the size cost is specifically inclusive of the amount of materials, time, composition balance skill, framing and delivery. The artist's attention to your event and finished painting is fixed.

You can easily get an After-Event painting, if the artist is not available on your date or maybe your wedding already took place... because you can still commemorate at any time in your journey. If you have several good photos, but missed the opportunity to have a special day painted from life, I can recreate that "Live Event" feeling for you with my signature quick, loose painterly style.
If I'm not available on your particular date, consider an after-event painting instead!
